The use of Diflucan should be discussed especially if a woman is pregnant. Vaginal yeast infections are common during pregnancy because women become more sensitive to increased levels of estrogen. Use of antibiotics often provokes development of yeast infections in women. It is advised to take antibiotics only for bacterial infections and under control of a doctor.

Genital hygiene is one of the best methods to prevent yeast infections. Avoiding extra warmth and moisture, keeping genital area dry and clean prevents developing and spreading of yeast.
